Legal Notice of Adoption of Preliminary Tax Abatement Resolution and Public Hearing: Mammoth Grazing Lands, LLC
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Pulaski County, Indiana, that the Pulaski County Council did on 14 July 2025 adopt a Preliminary Resolution, 2025-10, designating as an Economic Recovery Area (ERA), for a period of forty years, approximately 8,776.470 acres in Franklin, Jefferson, Monroe, and Rich Grove Townships for the purpose of achieving assessed-value deduction (property-tax abatement) in connection with redevelopment or rehabilitation activities for the purposes of generating electricity from solar energy and supporting such generation efforts upon the request of Mammoth Grazing Lands, LLC, for the Mammoth Grazing Lands/Mammoth Pastures solar project.
On Monday, 8 September 2025, the Council then did adopt an amending resolution, 2025-13, rescheduling the required public hearing for this project.
A map and description of the affected areas and a copy of the Preliminary Resolution are available at the County Assessor’s office in the Pulaski County Courthouse (first floor), 112 East Main Street, Winamac, and can be inspected there during regular business hours.
On Tuesday, 7 October 2025, at or about 6:00 p.m. EST, in the meeting room of the Pulaski County courthouse (second floor), 112 East Main Street, Winamac, the Pulaski County Council will, during a specially called meeting, conduct a public hearing to receive and to hear any and all remonstrances and objections to and support for this designation and to a proposed assessed-value deduction for the proposed solar-energy project, and may, at the conclusion of the public hearing, take final action on this designation by Confirmatory Resolution upon review of a Statement of Benefits submitted Mammoth Grazing Lands, LLC, and other pertinent materials.
