Legal Notice of Consideration of a Waiver of Non-Compliance and Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Pulaski County, Indiana, that the Pulaski County Council, on 13 February 2023, adopted a Confirmatory Resolution, 2023-02, designating as an Economic Recovery Area (ERA), for a period of twenty years, an area of land in Monroe Civil Township described as follows:

PARCEL 66-07-24-300-031.000-010, COMMONLY KNOWN AS VANDER HAAG’S, 495 EAST 150 SOUTH, WINAMAC (SOUTH PARCEL), COMPRISING APPROXIMATELY 73.456 ACRES IN THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 24 OF RANGE 2 WEST, TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH.

Aforesaid ERA was established for the purpose of achieving property-tax abatement in connection with redevelopment or rehabilitation activities. Aforesaid resolution also granted to Vander Haag’s a 10-year assessed-value deduction for new real property.

On Monday, 1 July 2024, at a specially called meeting at 4:30 p.m. EDT, in the meeting room of the Pulaski County Highway Department garage, 1131 North U.S. Highway 35, Winamac, the Pulaski County Council will conduct a public hearing to receive and to hear all remonstrances and objections, if any, to a requested waiver of non-compliance pertaining to the belated submission of annual required compliance documentation. Following the hearing, the Council will consider a resolution approving the requested waiver in addition to discussing other matters related to assessed-value deduction compliance and application processes.
