FRANCESVILLE PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Francesville Pavement Improvement Project: 2024-2 Community Crossings Matching Grant will be received, by the Francesville Clerk- Treasurer, at the Francesville Clerk-Treasurer’s office (100 N Brooks St, Francesville IN 47946) until 12:00 pm local time on Thursday, January 30, 2025. The bids will be publicly opened and read at the time then tabled for the next regularly scheduled Town Board Meeting. Bids will be reviewed by the Town Manager and the successful Contractor will be awarded the work promptly. Project consists of milling, resurfacing, concrete work, excavation, and related items on Ada Street, State Street, Harrison Street, Moncel Drive, Montgomery Street, Monon Street and Salem Street within the Town of Francesville IN. Project would need to start in April or May 2025 and end 90 days after exception. 

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. 

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Francesville Clerk-Treasurer, 100 N Brooks St, Francesville IN 47946. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Francesville Clerk-Treasurer’s office by appointment Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:00 am- 4:00 pm and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing office as described below. 

Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid proposal forms, accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to Town of Francesville in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid. Each bid shall include a Non-Discrimination Commitment and all other required forms as described in Indiana Code. 

Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available electronically by email. (as portable document format (PDF) files. Alternatively, printed Bidding documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon the Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $100.00 per set, payable to Town of Francesville. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Clerk-Treasurer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidders must obtain their Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office to be included on the plain holders list; failure to do so may be considered non-responsive. 

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
