Sue C. Tuley

Dec. 28, 1935 — May 28, 2024

Sue C. Tuley, 88, of Winamac, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 28, at Hickory Creek in Winamac. 

She was born on Dec. 28, 1935, in Kewanna, to the late Charles E. and Mary Ellen (Felder) Hott. Sue graduated from Winamac High School in 1953. She started her working career as a very successful beautician. Sue retired from the Pulaski County Public Library after many years of dedicated service.

In her younger years, Sue cherished spending summer Sundays at “Culver Lake.” Throughout her life, she enjoyed square dancing and camping. In recent years, Sue had a lot of fun at the casino with family. Sue had a very giving heart and lived a life of kindness. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by daughters: Ronni [Dan] Newman-Kohlmeyer, Winamac, Marcia Smith, Indianapolis and Lynda [Keith] Hurlburt, Winamac; grandsons: Josh [Robyn] Newman, Blake Newman and Ryan [Marie] Hurlburt; granddaughters: Bobby Jo [Guy] Rugg, Tonya [Dale] Brew-Pick, Whitney Brew and Dr. Brooke [Harley] Nelson; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents: Charles E. and Mary Ellen (Felder) Hott; infant son Wesley Blane Tuley; brother Dr. Robert Hott and sister Nancy Curtis.

Per Sue’s request, her body was donated to the Indiana University Anatomical Education Program.

Private Burial of Cremated Remains will take place at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) where Sue will be laid to rest by her infant son, Wesley Blane.

Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana University Anatomical Education Program or Hickory Creek.
