Phyllis A. Neal

Phyllis A. Neal, a longtime resident of Winamac, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and family. Born on Sept. 26, 1949, Phyllis was a devoted mother to her son, Jay Estelle, and daughters, Annette Bachman and Billie Erb. She was also a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

Though Phyllis lived in several states throughout her life, she always considered Winamac her true home, where her family’s roots span more than five generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents: George and Dena Pugh; her brothers: Jerry and David Pugh; and her sister, Martha Coors. She is survived by Dan Pugh and Beverly Varnedore.

Phyllis will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her deep connection to her hometown, her deep love for the outdoors and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
