Paulette S. Craig

Paulette S. Craig, 70, of Winamac, died Sunday, Jan. 24 in La Porte.

She was born Wednesday, July 25, 1945, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Ed Krasnai and the late Pauline Nonnenmaker. She was raised by her grandparents Elmer and Cora Nonnenmaker.

Pat loved working on the special needs bus with the children. Pat’s joys in life were reading, taking pictures, talking on the phone, gardening and planting flowers. Pat’s passion was her faith in God and Christianity, with her computer ministry and her Internet prayer board. Pat was a member of the Denham Freewill Baptist Church. Another of her passions was playing and writing music with her husband Adam. Pat loved spending time with friends playing pinochle.

Pat’s greatest love was spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. 

She worked as a housewife, Whirlpool and the bus garage in La Porte with the special needs children.

Surviving are her husband Adam Craig of Winamac; son Daniel [Misty] Craig of La Porte; daughters: Debra [James] Weiler of La Porte, Jaymie [Christopher] Shoff of Winamac, Jodi [Eric O’Banion] Lewis of Rolling Prairie; brother Edward [Sue] Krasnai of Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania; sister Denise McKee, Texas; adopted son Jimmy Johnson; grandchildren: Caleb, Hannah, Haleah, Alexis, Madalyn, Abigail, Mallory, Tori, Adam Lee, Jacob, Jordan, Taylor, Brennan, Colby, Madison and Peyton; two soon-to-be great-grandchildren; and Daisy her favorite basset hound.

She was preceded in death by parents Ed Krasnai and Pauline Nonnenmaker; grandparents Elmer and Cora Nonnenmaker; an aunt; two brothers; and son-in-law Stephen Lewis.

Friends were received 4-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, Knox. Services followed at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel at 7 p.m. Rev. Mike Noble officiated.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
