Paul Leon Boos

Paul Leon Boos, 84, of Akron, formerly of Winamac, passed at 4:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 20, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Centre of Wabash.
Paul was born on Feb. 9, 1938, in Pulaski, to the late Louis and Marie P. (Bond) Boos. He was a 1956 Graduate of Winamac High School. On Nov. 14, 1959, in St. Peter’s Church in Winamac, he married Cecelia Ann Weldon, she survives. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles F.O.E. #2580, Winamac as well as the Moose Lodge L.O.M. #1518, North Manchester. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 37 years, having worked as City Carrier, Clerk, and Postmaster. He also worked 17 years for Winamac Coil Spring of Kewanna after retiring from the Postal Service. He was an avid race fan and IU basketball fan.
He is survived by his wife Ann Boos of Akron; sons: Mark and wife Carly Boos of Denver, Colorado and Eric and wife Karene Boos of Madison, Wisconsin; daughters: Angela and husband Matt Huffman of Indianapolis and Brigid and husband Brady McArdle of Ft. Wayne; and 10 grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Gene Boos, Edward Boos, Louis Boos, Jr., and A. Allen Boos; and step-sister Harvene Fisher.
Memorial visitation was held from 1-4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, at Hartzler Funeral Home, 305 West Rochester Street, Akron.
Following visitation, a reading of scripture and time of sharing took place at 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 3, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron.
