Marti L. Mills

Marti Lynn (Wheeler) Mills, 53, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 27 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Marti was born on Nov. 21, 1972, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, the daughter of Sylvia J. Fourman Van Tyle and John W. Wheeler, Sr. Marti was a 1991 graduate of Richmond High School. She formerly was a Customer Service Rep in the Hospitality Industry. 

Marti is survived by her sons: Seth Mills and Joshua Mills; mother, Sylvia Van Tyle; father and step-mother: John W. and Jackie Wheeler, of Star City; the little brother she never wanted, Jordan Fourman; brothers and sisters-in-law: John Jr. and Heather Wheeler, Gabe and Misty Wheeler, all of Winamac, Matt and Heather Wheeler, of Mishawaka; sisters and brothers-in-law: Tammy and Bob Lovely and Stephanie Wheeler, all of Winamac and Ranee and Sam Price, of Homewood, Illinois; aunts: Lynette Bumbalough, Judy and Danny Ringley, Marilee Fourman, Linda Wheeler and Sarah and Charles Moore, of Eaton, Ohio; uncles: David and Anna Marie Fourman, Bill Chapman; and special friend, Jeremy Miller.

Marti was preceded in death by her step-father, Philip Van Tyle; maternal grandparents: Violet and Fred Fourman; paternal grandparents: Walter and Barbara Wheeler; aunt, Cynthia Chapman; uncles: Jim Fourman, Jim Bumbalough, Sr. and Bill Wheeler.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, at the Smith-McQuiston & Webster Funeral Home, 321 South US 27, Fountain City. Interment was in Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City.
