Marlene M. Fox

March 30, 1955 — Feb. 7, 2024

Marlene May Fox, 68, of Winamac, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Northwest Health Hospital in LaPorte. 

She was born on March 30, 1955, in Winamac to the late Gerald M. “Red” and Myrna L. (Poss) Terry. Marlene graduated from Winamac High School in 1973. On Sept. 18, 2004, she married Fran Fox at their home. He survives.

Marlene had previously worked at Paragon and Winamac Coil Spring. For the past fourteen years, she proudly taught Silver Sneakers at the Community Wellness Center. Marlene was an active member of the Winamac VFW Auxiliary Post #1728 and Winamac FOE #2580. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.  

Survivors include her husband Fran Fox, Winamac; sons: Brandon Noyer, Winamac, Travis Noyer, Winamac, Darrell Fox, Pulaski, Matt [Andrea] Fox, Pulaski, Cody Fox, Winamac and Andrew Fox, Pulaski; daughters: Angie [Jay] Thompson, Ora, Monica [Jason] Pothoff, Winamac and Caroline [Adam] Coonrod, Buffalo; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Jackie Terry, Sandy Terry, Teri [Ron] Terry-Shidler, Nancy [Dave] Hitchens and Marian [Tony] Reinhold; brother-in-law Paul [Sue] Fox; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents: Gerald M. “Red” and Myrna L. (Poss) Terry; in-laws: Joe and Noan Fox; son Jason Fox; granddaughter Haley Fox; sister Linnea Lloyd; brothers: Darrel Terry, David Terry, Donald Terry and Dwayne Terry; sisters-in-law: Shorty Terry, Della Terry and Bev Terry; and infant brother-in-law Harold Fox.

Visitation was from 3-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 12, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Pastor Butch Wildermuth officiating.  

Burial took place at Mt. Zion-Franklin Twp. Cemetery in Winamac.
