Marjorie E. Coburn

Marjorie E. “Marge” Coburn, 94, of Monticello, (formerly of Medaryville) passed away at 8:54 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Monticello Healthcare.
Marge was born on Dec. 6, 1921, in rural Cass Township of Pulaski County. She was a graduate of Medaryville High School.
Marge served as clerk-treasurer for the Town of Medaryville for 20 years and also was the longtime manager of Ahlers Electric and Hardware in Medaryville.
Marge was a member of the Medaryville United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Medaryville OES.
Marge enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her sons: Arthur [Mary] Coburn of Monticello, and William [Peggy] Coburn of Logansport; seven grandchildren: Sue Ann Grimes, Brian [Tammy] Barnhart, Scott [Catherine] Coburn, Vickie [Ryan] Wiese, Dawn Coburn, and Christy [Ryan] Jones; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Hazel Timmons of West Lafayette; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Edna (Brown) Timm; and sisters: Evelyn McDaniels and Myrna Crowley.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel Medaryville, with Pastor Tod Masters officiating. Private burial will take place at a later date.
