Loretta Nowak

Oct. 11, 1941 — July 31, 2025

Loretta Nowak, 83, of Royal Center, left her earthly body behind on Thursday, July 31. 

Loretta was born in Tennessee on Oct. 11, 1941 to James and Ina (Mullins) Richardson. 

She was a 1959 Francesville High School graduate.

Loretta was a retired CNA.

She was an avid seamstress and made many beautiful quilts for loved ones throughout the years. 

Loretta enjoyed gardening in her younger years and has canned far too many handpicked fruits and vegetables to count! 

Loretta leaves behind three daughters: Bert [Tony] Bozarth of Central City, Kentucky, Nancy [David] Luchene of Portage, and Jacquie [Jim] Wethington of Royal Center. Also left to mourn are grandsons: Austin [Natasha Fessler] Wethington of Logansport, and Devin [Dalynne Smith] Wethington of Lucerne. Surviving siblings include: Glenn Richardson of Michigan City, Bonnie James of Burbank, Illinois, Stella [Tom] Craig of Eustis, Florida, Sue [Bill] Abegglen of Homasassas, Florida, Larry Richardson Tazewell, Tennessee. “Aunt Lo” leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: Fred Richardson and George Richardson. 

Per Loretta’s wishes, there will be no services. 

The family would like to thank Chase Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for the care and support they have shown.
