Kelly E. Foerg
Kelly E. Foerg, beloved son, partner, brother, and friend, passed away on Oct. 16, at Franciscan Health of Lafayette. He was born in Winamac on April 9, 1963, to Arthur P. Foerg and Judith K. Sheets Foerg.
A graduate of the Eastern Pulaski Community School System in 1982, Kelly dedicated his junior and senior years to honing his skills in carpentry through building trades program. This foundation propelled him into a successful career in the construction industry, where he began by owning his own business, Foerg Construction. For the past decade, he exemplified craftsmanship and dedication as a carpenter at Crown Line Homes, leaving a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him.
Known for his bossy nature, Kelly had a big heart and enjoyed taking charge, often directing those around him with confidence. His personality made a mark on everyone he encountered. Kelly cherished cooking and grilling for his family, bringing them together through shared meals and laughter. He found joy in fishing, especially when it came to catching catfish, and his love for the river was evident as he spent many days surrounded by nature.
With a fondness for camping, Kelly had a special place out on the Wabash River where he would enjoy evenings by the campfire, sharing stories and creating lasting memories with his friends and family. He also adored his dogs, birds and his newest cat named “Binx.”
Kelly is survived by his father, Arthur P. Foerg and his mother, Judith K. Sheets Foerg. He leaves behind his significant other of 35 years, Patsy Balser, along with her son Bryan Balser and her grandchildren, Laralee, Braydon, Dallas, Kylee and Ivory. His siblings Mashell [Scott] Roudebush, Kevin [Amy] Foerg and Lisa [Stacy] Hartle also hold his memory close, as do his nine nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held in honor of Kelly on Oct. 22, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Hahn-Groeber Funeral & Cremation Services in Lafayette, Indiana with a service at 6 p.m.
