Joyce A. Weaver
Joyce A. Weaver, 73, of Star City, passed away at 12:25 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.
Joyce was born on July 20, 1943, in Chicago, to Albin and Dorothy (Piet) Wegner Sr. She attended St. Michael’s College in Chicago. Joyce married David E. Weaver on June 20, 1970, in Chicago. David died on Nov. 24, 2000.
Joyce was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski. She was a member of the Indiana County Surveyor’s Association. She had served as Pulaski County Surveyor from 2000 until 2012.
Joyce enjoyed going to the Four Winds Casino with her girlfriends. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was an avid Chicago Bears fan. She watched game shows and worked crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her sons: Timothy Weaver of Star City, and David M. Weaver of Star City; daughter Jennifer [Robert] Keller of Winamac; grandsons: Trent Weaver and Brent Keller; and granddaughters: Allison Keller and Ashlee Keller.
She was preceded in death by her husband David E. Weaver; parents Albin and Dorothy (Piet) Wegner Sr.; brother Albin Wegner Jr.; and sister Judy Powers.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. A rosary service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday and a scriptural wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski. Burial will be at St. Joseph West Cemetery in Pulaski.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
