John E. Williamson

John Edward Williamson, 74, of Winamac, passed away peacefully at 5:45 a.m., Saturday, July 27, at home.

Born on May 15, 1950, in Winamac, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Katherine (Wiesjahn) Williamson.

John formerly owned and operated Williamson Construction Company. He enjoyed working in the yard and traveling.  

Survivors include his children: John J. Williamson [Jane] of Winamac, Christopher Williamson of Winamac and Geraldine Meneses Marin of Mexico; sisters: Karen Kruger of Carmel, Carol Fernandez of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Rita Williamson of Winamac; and grandchildren: Miles and Veronica Williamson; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by sister, Katherine “Kay” Brown.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., at The Event Center, 211 S. Logan St., Winamac.
