Jessie M. [Gourley] Reidelbach
Jessie M. [Gourley] Reidelbach, 102, of Francesville, passed away on Monday, Nov. 30, at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville.
Jessie was born on Feb. 8, 1918, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to the late Jesse and Rosa Mary (Mitchell) Gourley. She spent her youth in Hammond. On June 1, 1940, Jessie married the late Walter V. Reidelbach. He passed away on Sept. 18, 1992.
Jessie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski. She was a homemaker and when she was in her 60s, she got a job at Harvey Restaurant in Logansport. At age 82, she was the author of “Ring Around the Rosie,” a book she wrote about her life growing up.
She is survived by her son Joseph P. Reidelbach of Greenwood; three grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Rosa Mary (Mitchell) Gourley; husband Walter V. Reidelbach; sons: Michael Reidelbach and Timothy Reidelbach; sister Mildred Adelsperger; and brother Robert Gourley.
Private graveside services and burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond.
