Jessica Marie Sturgell

Jessica Marie Sturgell, 38, of Francesville, passed away at 4:49 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in Osceola.  

Jessica was born on July 9, 1978, in Valparaiso, to Dennis Sturgell and Rose (Giesler) Ricks.   

Jessica enjoyed spending time with her daughters,  the outdoors, and singing her favorite songs. She was a great story teller. Jessica loved animals and visiting with her friends.

She is survived by her daughters: Ashley Swarens of Lowell, and Allison Swarens of Lowell; mother Rose [Mike] Ricks of Francesville; father Dennis Sturgell of North Pole, Arkansas; brother Eric Sturgell of Francesville; maternal grandparents Harold and Mary Giesler of Rochester; and father of the children Adam Swarens of Lowell. 

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Millard and Marian Sturgell. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 5-9 p.m. at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, at 10:30 a.m. at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, with Pastor James Ketchen officiating. Burial will take place in Roseland Cemetery in Francesville.
