Cynthia S. “Cindy” Hagen
Cynthia Sue “Cindy” Hagen, 63, of Winamac, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 19, at her home.
Cindy was born on Dec. 1, 1960, in Knox, to Garland and Carolyn Sue (Cornelius) Marsh. She graduated from Knox High School with the class of 1978. On Aug. 5, 1988, she married Ricky Lee “Chief” Hagen. He passed away on June 29, 2015.
Known to many as “Momma Cindy,” she had big heart for everyone and always had a welcoming home with open arms to all (despite her “organized clutter”). She had a passion for sewing and collecting rocks as well as spending time in her yard amongst her abundant amount of flowers. She was an avid Tik-Toker with lots of followers! Most of all, Cindy loved her family and friends. She was an amazing mom who loved spoiling her grandchildren. Cindy had a strong and unique presence that may have seemed like chaos to strangers, but to those who knew her she was an ostentatious and wonderful woman loved by so many.
Cindy is survived by sons: Joe [Ariel] Budka, Winamac, Erik [Becky] Budka, Winamac and Daniel Budka, Winamac; daughters: Mia [fiancé: Rob Bennett] Hagen, Macy and Hope [Adam] Kestle, Monticello; 23 grandchildren: Noah, Madison [Russell], Eli, Kaleb, Tripp, Kain, Cole, Heather, Morgan [Ethan], Summer, Mercedes, Angel, Paige, Lily, Wyatt, Reece, Ivan, Grace, Cynthia Harmony, Lucas, Payton, Zachary and Andrew; four great-grandchildren (and two on the way); mother Carolyn (Cornelius) Marsh, Knox; brothers: Tom [Cathy] Marsh, Knox, Mike [Jeanie] Marsh, Knox and George [Evelyn] Marsh, Knox; sister Sandy [Scott] Sigler, Tipton; many nieces and nephews; mother-in-law Dorothy Hagen, Winamac; sisters-in-law: Cathy Hagen, Royal Center and Dawn Hagen, Winamac; and cousin-in-law Linda Lizenby, South Bend.
Preceded in death by father Garland Marsh; husband Ricky Lee “Chief” Hagen; infant brother David Allen; grandmother Francis Carol “Granny” Cornelius; father-in-law Fred Hagen; brothers-in-law: Rodney Hagen and John Hagen.
Visitation was from 1-5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 25, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
Funeral services were held at 5 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 25, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Celebrant Ashley Young officiating.
Following services, cremation took place at Frain Crematory in Winamac.
Burial took place at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 26, at Winamac Cemetery (Southlawn Addition) in Winamac.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warrior Youth Baseball or West Central Youth League or Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
