Carol L. Crist
Carol L. Crist, 65, of Galveston, formerly of Logansport, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Aug. 8, at her home.
Born on Jan. 22, 1960 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Loren and Betty (Galbreath) Markley.
She was a 1978 Winamac High School graduate. Carol married Rex Crist on May 5, 1987.
Carol was a Dispatcher for Pulaski County for 20 years after working for several years at Karen’s Tracks to Beauty and Korner Shoppe Bridal. She was also formerly employed at Cardinal Services and Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Carol enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family especially her grandchildren who she always said was her reason.
Survivors include her daughter, Cara Jean Dauenhauer [Joshua] of Galveston; sisters: Sue Young of Winamac and Karen Pratt of Logansport; and grandchildren: DaKoda Dauenhauer, MaKayla Dauenhauer and MaLayna Dauenhauer; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Crist; sister Kathy Webb; and brothers-in-law: Len Young, Tim Pratt and David Webb.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 21, at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service and the family is requesting casual dress.
Burial will follow at Winamac Cemetery.
