Carl M. Anspach

March 20, 1935 — Aug. 2, 2024

Carl M. Anspach, 89, of Winamac, passed away Friday, Aug. 2. 

He was born on March 20, 1935, in Buffalo, to the late Floyd M. and Clarisse M. (Jones) Anspach. Carl attended Winamac High School with the Class of 1953 and served in the USAF from 1955-59. On March 16, 1958, Carl married Dorothy A. Good in Pulaski. He worked at NIPSCO for 32 years and retired at the age of 55.

Carl was a member and past-president of the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Reserve and Pulaski County REACT. He was also a 50 year member of the Royal Center Lodge #565 F&AM. Carl enjoyed volunteering at the Pulaski County Human Services Food Pantry and was an active member of the Friends of the Panhandle Pathway.  

He is survived by daughter Carrie [John] Ingram, Winamac; sons: Alan [Angie] Anspach, Winamac and Jerry [Becky] Anspach, Thornhope; grandsons: Brandon Thomas, Cody [Kala] Anspach, Kendel Anspach, Drew [Angie Upsall] Anspach, Jeff [Laura] Anspach and Luke [Abbie] Anspach; granddaughter Katy [Jake] Minnick; seven great-grandchildren; brothers: Thomas E. [Patty] Anspach, Winamac, Gene R. [Rena] Anspach, Marshfield Hills, Massachusetts and Earl J. Anspach, Logansport; sisters-in-law: Diane Anspach, Logansport and Judith Anspach, Greenwood; many nieces and nephews; and companion Lynn Downhour.

Preceded in death by parents: Floyd M. and Clarisse M. (Jones) Anspach; wife Dorothy A. (Good) Anspach; second wife Julie (Raszipovits) Budd Anspach; great-grandson Tyler Thomas; and brothers: John J. Anspach and Ken A. Anspach.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Masonic services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery (Southlawn Addition). The American Legion and VFW will conduct military graveside services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Panhandle Pathway or Pulaski County Human Services Food Pantry.
