Bobby J. Creasy

Bobby Joe Creasy, 80, of Winamac, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, at his home surrounded by family. 

He was born on Aug. 19, 1943 in Hunterville, Missouri to the late Hobart Jones and Ruby Grace (James) Creasy.  Bobby graduated from Risco High School in 1962. On June 15, 1963, he married Alice F. White in Portageville, Missouri. A proud veteran, Bobby served his country in the US Army and was honorably discharged as a Disabled American Veteran. He spent most of his working life at Galbreath and Galfab in Winamac. Bobby enjoyed a well-deserved retirement in Tennessee and returned to Winamac in 2021 to be closer to family. He enjoyed the simple pleasure of life and found great joy in living at a slower pace, appreciating the beauty of each day.

Survived by wife Alice F. (White) Creasy, Winamac; sons: Charles [Sherry] Creasy, Star City and Benjamin [Adela] Creasy, Zionsville; granddaughter Kennedy Creasy; grandson Conner Creasy; brothers: Kenneth L. [Darlene] Creasy, Winamac and Richard L. Creasy, Winamac; sisters-in-law: Shirley [Joe] Decker, Winamac, Brenda Craig, Winamac, Patricia “Sandy” Terry, Winamac and Carolyn [Stan] Johnson, Talma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents: Hobart Jones and Ruby Grace (James) Creasy; infant sisters: Juanita Louis Creasy and Neva Creasy; and sister-in-law Brenda Creasy.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 8, at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac.

Burial took place at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac. The American Legion and VFW conducted military graveside services.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LifeWise Academy (for Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation) or American Diabetes Association.
