Billy G. Fritz

Billy G. Fritz, 84, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Creasy Springs Health Campus in Lafayette. 

He was born on July 1, 1938, in Winamac, to the late Raymond E. and Opal R. (White) Fritz. Billy graduated from Pulaski High School. On Feb. 23, 1974, he married the love of his life, Barbara A. Bisher in Monticello.  

Billy owned and operated Bill’s Auto Body in rural Beaver Township for many years. From working for others to working for himself, he did body work for nearly 40 years.  

Billy was a member of Northern Indiana Power from the Past. He enjoyed rebuilding and displaying antique engines.  

Billy enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his wife Barbara A. (Bisher) Fritz, of Lafayette; son Dwayne A. Fritz, of Lafayette; and daughter Angela L. [Aaron Sprout] Fritz, of Lafayette.

Preceded in death by parents: Raymond E. and Opal R. (White) Fritz; and infant brother Larry Fritz.

Visitation was from noon – 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac with Rev. Edward Clark officiating.  

Burial took place at Paul’s Chapel Cemetery in Winamac.

Memorial contributions were made to Almost Home Humane Society in Lafayette or Northern Indiana Power from the Past in Winamac.
