Paul A. Hoffman
Paul Alfred Hoffman, 84, of Edmond, Oklahoma, formerly of Winamac, passed away Monday, Feb. 24 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on June 21, 1940 and grew up in Thornhope. Paul earned an honorary diploma from Winamac High School. On Oct. 27, 1990 he married Shirley Ann (Busch) Scheffer in Winamac. She passed away on Sept. 18, 2019.
Paul was retired from Whallon Machinery in Royal Center, where he had worked for 30 years as a self-taught draftsman/engineer. He was a longtime member of the Winamac VFW Post #1728 Auxiliary. Paul enjoyed traveling with Shirley and spending time with his family. He recently moved to Oklahoma and became an avid Oklahoma City Thunder fan. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by daughters: Kim Carpenter, Purcell, Oklahoma, Angie [husband: Jim] Kasbohm, El Reno, Oklahoma and Penny DeLorenzo, Winamac; sons: Mark [wife: Kelly] Hoffman, Edmond, Oklahoma and Scott [wife: Stephanie] Hoffman, Logansport; step-daughters: Karen [husband: Labon] Gourley, Winamac and Cindy [husband: Dale] Shepard, Grovertown; 14 grandchildren: Adam, Lauren, Jordan, Michael, Kimberly, Bryan, Matthew, Steven, Heather, Lyssa, Hannah, Ethan, Levi and Alexandra; 14 great-grandchildren; sister Martha Kopka; brothers: Larry Hoffmann, Terry Hoffmann, Rodger Hoffmann and Norman Hoffmann; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by father Charles Sherman Hoffman; mother Delilah Mae (Jones) Hoffmann Campbell; wife Shirley Ann (Busch) Scheffer Hoffman; sister Darlene Starr; and brothers: Philip Hoffman, Gary Hoffmann and Charles Hoffmann.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 5, at Star City West Cemetery in Star City with Dylan Johnson officiating.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 5 at the Winamac VFW Post #1728 in Winamac.
Burial will take place at Star City West Cemetery in Star City.
