Nancy A. Gazelle

Nancy A. Gazelle, 88, of Winamac, passed away at 5:21 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 5, 1936, in Normal, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Mildred (Shaw) Hanks.

She was a graduate of Normal Community High School and the University of Illinois.

She was a retired music teacher. Nancy also formerly owned and operated a Christian Book and Gift Shop in Illinois.

She was a member of Heartland Church in Winamac and enjoyed playing piano and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Carlton Gazelle of Winamac; sons: Dr. Brian Johnson [Cathy] of Winamac, Martin Johnson [Gayellen] of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Rodney Johnson [Marce] of Celeste, Texas; and grandchildren: Karl Johnson [Molly] of Chicago, Kurt Johnson of Goshen, Grant Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Caryn Johnson of Celeste, Texas and Brianne Johnson of Celeste, Texas.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard Johnson; and son, Bruce Johnson.

Services were at 11 a.m. (EDT)., Monday, Sept. 30, at the Heartland Church in Winamac with Pastor Heath Hiatt officiating.

Visitation was from 2 to 5 p.m. (EDT), Sunday, Sept. 29, at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, Royal Center.

Graveside services were at 11:30 a.m. (CDT), Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Hudson Township Cemetery in Hudson, Illinois.
