Glen A. Zellers

Glen A. Zellers, 70, of Winamac, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, Sept. 12. 

He was born on Jan. 13, 1954, in Winamac to the late Alvin B. and Emma E. (Sahloff) Zellers. Glen was a graduate of Winamac Community High School. On June 10, 1978, he married Kathy A. Nicolas in Winamac. He was a lifelong member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church. Glen worked many years at Galbreath’s and the Pulaski County Public Library before retiring. He loved his family very much, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by wife Kathy A. Zellers, Winamac; daughters: Amanda K. [Brian] Kistler, Winamac and Beth A. [Benjamin] Christian, Noblesville; grandsons: Clay J. Kistler and Caleb N. Kistler; granddaughter Lilli A. Christian; sister Bertha A. Kelsey, South Bend; sisters-in-law: Wendy J. Zellers, Winamac, Denise [Terry] Beckner, Winamac, Joetta [Dusten] Burns, Winamac and JC [Josh] Bradley, Winamac; brothers-in-law: Jim [Maria] Nicolas, Winamac, Jeff [Kelly] Johnson, Cypress, Texas, Rex [Paige] Johnson, Conroe, Texas and Craig [Kristy] Johnson, Conroe, Texas and many nieces and nephews and families.

Preceded in death by parents: Alvin B. and Emma E. (Sahloff) Zellers; brothers: Alvin H. Zellers and Ben E. [Celia] Zellers; sister Emma Lou Nielsen; mother-in-law Nancy K. Johnson; and father-in-law Joseph J. Nicolas.

Visitation was from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15 at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Winamac with Pastor Tom Woodley officiating.

Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition) in Winamac.

Memorial contributions may be made Winamac Boy Scout Troop #229 or St. Luke Lutheran Church Sunday School Fund.
