Christine M. “Chris” Fox

Christine M. “Chris” Fox, 86, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Monterey, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Aug. 5. 

She was born on April 19, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Boksa) Penska.  On Nov. 17, 1956, Chris married Ralph J. Fox at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Monterey. Ralph passed away on May 4, 2007. Beyond her love for her late husband of over 50 years, and her family, Chris loved bowling and traveling as well as playing cards and dice with her family and friends. She was known for her kindnesses to others; notably sending cards to loved ones on their birthdays and other holidays. Chris worked at Eaton’s for over 20 years and was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, and FOE #2580 Auxiliary. In the wake of her passing, we reflect on the impact she had on our lives and the love she shared with all who had the privilege of knowing her. Chris will be dearly missed and always remembered with love and kindness.

Christine leaves behind a host of relatives and friends, including daughters: Victoria Fox, Orlando, Florida, Ann [Dennis] Plummer, Port St. Lucie, Florida, Sarah [Bobby] Lawson, Kokomo and Angie [John] Fox, Niceville, Florida; sons: Ron [Thelma] Fox, Winamac and Randy [Airetta] Fox, Zephyrhills, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and brother Joseph [Mary] Penska, Winamac.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 15, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 16, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Monterey with Rev. Anthony Rowland officiating.

Burial will take place at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Monterey.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne’s Cemetery.
