Edward W. Heath
Edward William Heath, 80, of Monon, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28. He was born in Lafayette on July 8, 1943, to the late Elmer Thomas Heath and Katherine (Delaney) Heath.
Edward served his country in the United States National Guard for two years. His first job was at Bryan Manufacturing. He retired from the Braun Corporation in 1996, having served as co-founder and Vice President since 1973.
Edward enjoyed fishing, camping, racing, and farming. He loved restoring his collection of antique John Deere tractors and was involved with the Antique Power Association of White County. He was a member of Monticello Christian Church and a past member of the American Legion where he and his wife, Ann, enjoyed dinners together.
He is survived by his wife, Howetta Ann (Fleck) Heath; children: Joseph Edward [Kathy] and Jeffrey Thomas [Cynthia]; step-daughters: Patricia Bawcum [John] and Donna Rothfeldt [Greg]; grandchildren: Jeremy Heath [Amber], Jennifer Heath, Natisha Heath, Ashley Heath, Ariel Heath, Glorianna Heath, and Joshua Heath; and two great-grandchildren: Claire Heath and Addison Minnick. Edward is also survived by the mother of his children, Joan Elizabeth Heath.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents; stepdaughter, Gloria Scharf-Beedie; two brothers: K. Lynn Heath and Dwain “Tuck” Heath; and one sister, Diana Hughes.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 6, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Funeral will be Thursday, March 7, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Benji Riddle officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Attica.
