Hazel Iris Page

Hazel Iris Page, 94, of Francesville, died at 5:22 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. 

Hazel was born on April 7, 1922, in Danville, Illinois, to the late Joseph Leonard and Cecilia Justin (Tucker) Spencer. 

On Oct. 6, 1941, she married William Wayne Wright. Bill died on Jan. 5, 1951. Hazel married Eugene Page on July 19, 1957. Eugene died on April 25, 2001.

She was a homemaker and farm wife. She helped with the milking, raising her garden and canning the produce she raised. She loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family.

Survivors include her son John L. [Ruth] Wright of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughters: Linda K. [John] Fix of La Porte, and Pat A. [Roger] Querry of Francesville; grandchildren: J. [Melody] Wright, Janienne [Tony] Bella, Daniel [Heather] Fix, Mark [Melanie] Fix, David [Amy] Fix, Jason [Rebecca] Querry and Angela [Casey] Neidlinger; 16 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Hallie Marie Hughes of La Porte, and Betty [Richard] Spencer. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Cecilia Spencer; husbands: William Wayne Wright and Eugene Page; daughter Karen Sue Wright; three brothers; and six sisters. 

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, with Pastor Jack Balon officiating. Burial will take place at Roseland Cemetery, Francesville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse or River of Life Church (Joyful Noise), La Porte.
