George E. Burton

Jan. 31, 1933 — March 11, 2016

George Edward Burton, 83, was surrounded by his loving family when he passed away at 3:45 a.m., Friday, March 11, at Life Care Center of Rochester.

George is survived by his wife Gloria; sons: Dennis [Linda] Burton, Craig [Mitzi] Burton all of Rochester, Bruce [Audrey] Burton of Camden, Ohio, Roger [Lisa] Burton of Scottsdale, Arizona; stepchildren: Cathy [Duane]  Field, and David Lee [Laura] Jenkins all of Winamac; grandchildren: Scott [Jenna] Burton of Claypool, Kevin [Kimberly] Burton of Rochester, Sean [Madison] Burton of Eaton, Ohio, Kyle [Eleny] Burton of Fort Wayne, Kara Burton of Camden, Ohio, Jessica Burton of Louisville, Kentucky, Alexandra Burton of Brooklyn, New York, Abbagail Burton [friend Zane Olinger] of Rochester, and Katie [Shane] Biscella of Logansport; step-grandchildren: Cheryl [Nathan] Raymond of Fort Wayne, Amanda Mundell of Crown Point, Max Mundell of Hobart, Rachel Mundell of Hobart, Nolan Jenkins of Winamac, Alyssa Jenkins of Indianapolis, and Zane Jenkins of Winamac; great-grandchildren: McKinley Burton, Harrison Burton, Ellison Burton and Liam Burton;  step-great-grandchildren: Jacoby Jenkins, Taelynn Raymond, Katelynn Raymond and Jason Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding George in death were his parents; wife Carol on March 15, 2002; brother Harold Burton on Nov. 10, 1981; and a step-grandson Daniel Duane Field in March of 1991.

Friends may visit with the family from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, and one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. A celebration of the life of George Edward Burton will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, in the Good Family Funeral Home with pastors Brian Sewell, Rick Abbott and Jeff Seger officiating. Interment will be in the Fulton Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Military rites team.
