Darl L. Field

Jan. 16, 1963 — Sept. 2, 2015

Darl L. Field, 52, of Winamac, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 2. He passed away unexpectedly at his home.

Darl was born on Jan. 16, 1963, in Rensselaer, to Devon and Beverly (Olson) Field. He graduated from West Central High School in 1981. Darl had been employed at Galbreath for many years. In his younger years, he worked the family farm.

Darl attended the Winamac Church of the Nazarene.

He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan. He also enjoyed woodworking, especially making bird houses.

Darl loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his parents Devon and Beverly (Olson) Field of Winamac; brothers: Duane [Cathy] Field of Winamac, Darwin [Julie] Field of Winamac, and Darrin [Dana] Field of Winamac; six nieces; two nephews; five great-nieces; and four great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Richard and Leora (Hartwick) Olson; paternal grandparents Harry and Dorris (Keiger) Field; and infant nephew Daniel Duane Field.

Visitation was 2-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at Frain Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church Monday. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 7, at Winamac Church of the Nazarene, Winamac. Pastor Brett Smith officiated. Burial took place in McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Winamac.
