Memorial Day
The Winamac American Legion Post 71 and VFW Post 1728 hosted the annual Memorial Day ceremony in front of the Pulaski County Courthouse on Monday, May 26 at 11 a.m.
Even though the skies threatened rain, many still gathered at the Pulaski County Courthouse for the annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m. to remember those who paid the ultimate price.
Memorial Day is a time to reflect and remember those who served and sacrificed. A 21-gun salute was fired to salute the military service members who have fallen in the line of duty.
The Winamac Town Council made the decision at a regular meeting on Monday, May 9 to donate to both the American Legion and the VFW for the purchase of flags for Memorial Day. The council unanimously passed a motion to donate $500 to the VFW and $250 to the American Legion to help with the purchase...
