Pauline Mae Hoover
Pauline Mae Hoover, 81, of Winamac, passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, at Hickory Creek at Winamac.
Pauline was born on May 18, 1936, in Denham, to the late Creed and Margaret E. (Stevenson) Rose. On Nov. 14, 1953, Pauline married William Hubert “Bill” Hoover Jr. in Winamac. Bill survives.
Pauline attended the Thornhope Church and the Nazarene Church in Winamac. She was a homemaker and had worked cleaning homes for many others. Pauline enjoyed gardening, collecting cat figurines and canning.
She also enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband William Hubert “Bill” Hoover Jr. of Winamac; daughters: Laura [Daryn] Wilder of Lake Worth, Florida, Mary [Craig] Fosnaugh of Fort Wayne, and Twila [Joe] Slomka of Knox; son Robert Hoover of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law Shirley Duyag Hoover of Winamac; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sons: Richard Creed Hoover and William Harvey Hoover; son Hubert M. Hoover; sisters: Virginia Frances Ooley, Marian Evone Humes, Mary Elizabeth Nies, Corinne Rose (infant), Patricia Irene Rose (triplet), Tessie J. Kellems, and Louise Norris; and brothers: Paul Thomas Rose (triplet), James H. Rose, Charles Rose, Richard E. Rose, John J. Rose, George Rose and William Robert Rose.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Mark Hines officiating. Burial will take place Wednesday, May 24, at the Winamac Cemetery in Winamac.
