NOTICE TO PUBLIC AND BIDDERS FOR ASPHALT PAVING

PULASKI COUNTY

NOTICE is hereby given that the Pulaski County Board of Commissioners of Pulaski County, Indiana will at 8:00 am E.S.T. on Monday, December 17, 2018, open sealed price proposals for the furnishing of paving of hot asphalt for two road projects for Pulaski County during the year of 2018, in the Commissioner’s Room of the Pulaski County Courthouse, located at 112 E Main Street, Winamac, Indiana.

Sealed bids shall be mailed or delivered to the Pulaski County Auditor, 112 E Main Street, Winamac, Indiana, no later than 4pm on December 14, 2018. Bids received after the designated time will not be considered.

Work to be performed shall include tack coat, wedge and level, and 1.5” overlay of virgin hot mix asphalt paving. The wedge and level layers do not have to be virgin material. All labor, services, materials, insurance and equipment to contract the work for Pulaski County are to be included in the project bid total.

The bid documents and plans are available for examination at the Pulaski County Highway Department and can be emailed to bidders by the Pulaski County Highway Department at: countyhighway@pulaskicounty.in.gov and also questions should be emailed to the Pulaski County Highway Department. 

Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid proposal forms, accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Certified Check or Bid Bond payable to Pulaski County in the amount of not less than ten percent (10) of the bid. Each bid shall include a Non-Discrimination Commitment and all other required forms as described in Indiana code.

The bidder awarded the contract will be required to furnish a separate Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price before commencing work. The Performance Bond and Payment Bond shall remain in effect throughout the entire construction period. In addition a Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) will be required for a period of one (1) year prior to a final acceptance by the Pulaski County Highway Department. 

The Pulaski County Commissioners of Pulaski County Indiana reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bidding, award some or all projects in the bid which, in its judgement, will be in the best interest of Pulaski County Indiana.

No bid or bid security may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days.
