Notice of Board Vacancy (Van Buren Township)

The Board of School Trustees of the Eastern Pulaski Community School Corporation is seeking a person to serve the remainder of the unexpired term of a position in Van Buren Township now vacate due to a relocation.

The candidate to be appointed to the School Board shall be:

1. A United States Citizen;

2. Of legal age;

3. A high school graduate or the equivalent;

4. A resident of the school corporation area two (2) years immediately preceding the election (appointment);

5. A resident of district area (Van Buren Township) from which nominated one (1) year immediately preceding the election (appointment); and

6. Not in violation of any Federal or State laws that would otherwise preclude the candidate.

The appointee will serve in the Board position until the school the end of the interim position (12/31/2020) or until elected in the general election of November 2020 and seated for the next term.

Interested and qualified persons must submit a letter expressing interest in the interim position to the EPCSC Administration Building (711 School Drive) no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 2, 2018

Following receipt of all materials, the Board may meet in executive session to narrow the candidate pool as all candidates may not be interviewed. A committee will be formed to conduct interviews prior to making a recommendation for appointment to the Board of School Trustees.
