Legal Notice of Adoption of Preliminary Tax Abatement Resolution and Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of Pulaski County, Indiana, that the Pulaski County Council on 12 October 2020 adopted a Preliminary Resolution, 2020-11, designating as an Economic Recovery Area (ERA), for a period of twenty years, an area of land in Rich Grove Civil Township described as follows:
PARCELS 66-03-31-100-008.000-012 AND 66-03-31-200-036.002-012, COMPRISING APPROXIMATELY 40.5800 ACRES LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF 2597 NORTH 1050 WEST, MEDARYVILLE, INDIANA, IN THE NORTHWEST AND NORTHEAST CORNERS OF SECTION 31 OF RANGE 3 WEST, TOWNSHIP 31NORTH.
Aforesaid ERA has been established for the purpose of achieving property-tax abatement in connection with redevelopment or rehabilitation activities.
A description of the affected area and a copy of the Preliminary Resolution are available at the County Auditor’s office and can be inspected there during regular business hours.
On Monday, 9 November 2020, at or about 7:00 p.m. EDT, in the meeting room of the Pulaski County Highway Department garage, 1131 North U.S. Highway 31, Winamac, the Pulaski County Council will conduct a public hearing to receive and to hear all remonstrances and objections, if any, to this project, and to take final action regarding the findings of the Preliminary Resolution and a waiver-of-non-compliance resolution and either to award or to deny property-tax abatements as requested by Derrick W. & Abbie E. Stalbaum, husband and wife, and described in a Statement of Benefits.
