NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF PUBLIC
HEARING ON ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
Notice is hereby given to taxpayers of the library known as Pulaski County Public Library (the “Library”), that the Board of Trustees (the “Board”) of the Library will meet at 121 S. Riverside Dr., Winamac, Indiana, 46996 at 4:15 p.m. (local time) on August 14, 2019, to consider the following additional appropriation of the bonds (the “Bonds”) which the Board has determined to issue. The Board considers such additional appropriation necessary to meet the need existing at this time.
An appropriation in the amount of $1,750,000 to pay the total cost of the remediation, improvement and equipping of the Carnegie library building on the upper and lower levels, new office space, landscaping, drainage work, and other related improvements and equipment (collectively, the “Project”) in the Library district, including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the Project and the issuance of the Bonds on account thereof. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the issuance and sale of Bonds of the Library.
The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budgets and levies and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary Library facilities in the Library district. Taxpayers of the Library district appearing at the hearing shall have a right to be heard in respect of this additional appropriation.
