NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS
OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the school corporation known as North Judson-San Pierre School Corporation that the Board of School Trustees will meet at the Administration Building, located at 801 Campbell Drive, North Judson, Indiana, at the hour of 7:00 p.m. on September 19, 2017, to consider the following additional appropriation of the proceeds from the sale of the leased premises in connection with the lease agreement with North Judson-San Pierre Multi-School Building Corporation and the issuance of general obligation bonds by the school corporation. The Board considers such additional appropriation necessary to meet the extraordinary need existing at this time:
An appropriation has been proposed in the amount of $5,600,000 on account of the proposed renovations and improvements at the Elementary School, the Middle School and the Jr./Sr. High School buildings (the “Project”). The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the issuance and sale of bonds by the North Judson-San Pierre Multi-School Building Corporation.
The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and an extraordinary need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary school facilities in the school corporation.
Taxpayers of said school corporation appearing at said meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to said additional appropriation.
