AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
VARIOUS FEE SCHEDULES FOR THE
TOWN OF WINAMAC
Ordinance No. 3 of 2018
WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Winamac, Indiana (the “Town Council”), is responsible for the performance of various functions for the Town of Winamac (the “Town”); and
WHEREAS, in the interests of fiscal responsibility, and to ensure the healthy and efficient operation of Town utilities, its Parks and Recreation Department, and other various Town agencies and departments, the Town Council is desirous of amending its various fee schedules to reflect those changes as provided in this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, after careful consideration, the Town Council finds that the rates and charges as set forth herein are reasonable and just, taking into consideration a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the prevailing market rate, citizen demographics and economic conditions affecting Town residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Council of the Town of Winamac, Indiana, that this Ordinance Amending Various Fee Schedules for the Town of Winamac, is hereby adopted as follows:
SECTION I.
Rates and Charges: Town Equipment
1. The following items of Town Equipment shall be assessed the following rates:
(A) Dump Truck: $60.00/hour
(B) Small Bucket Truck: $70.00/hour
(C) Big Bucket Truck: $70.00/hour
(D) Digger/Derrick Truck: $70.00/hour
(E) Lawn Mower: $40.00/hour
(F) String Trimmer: $30.00/hour
(G) Case Tractor: $60.00/hour
(H) Backhoe: $80.00/hour
(I) Wheel Loader: $85.00/hour
(J) Sewer Camera Van: $60/00/hour
(K) Leaf Vac: $60.00/hour
(L) Garbage Truck: $200.00/DAY
(M) Tapping Machine: $75.00/hour
(N) Air Compressor: $50.00/hour
(O) Street Sweeper: $65.00/hour
(P) Sewer Vac: $75.00/hour
(Q) Park Tractor: $50.00/hour
2. All rates, as provided in Section I of this Ordinance, are assessed based upon a one (1) hour minimum charge, and is inclusive of the cost of one (1) Town employee.
SECTION II.
Backflow Testing
1. Section 53.01(G) of the Municipal Code of the Town (the “Code”) is hereby added, to provide as follows: “The following fees shall be charged for Backflow Testing, based on and coinciding with the corresponding device size/types:

4” DC or RP $75.00
SECTION III.
Copy and Certification Fees
1. The fee for certification of any public document shall be Five Dollars ($5.00) per document.
2. The fee for providing copies of any public document shall be Five Cents ($0.05) per page for non-color copies, and Fifteen Cents ($0.15) per page for any color copies.
3. Uniformity. Pursuant to Ind. Code § 5-14-3-8, all copying and certification costs shall apply uniformly to all purchasers, and the fees as provided in this Section III shall apply to all Town departments.
SECTION IV.
Effective Date
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after notice of the adoption shall have been published in a paper as described in Indiana Code § 5-3-1-4.
