Town of Winamac, Indiana

Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) to obtain assistance from the Wastewater State Revolving Fund (WWSRF) Loan Program

The Town of Winamac, Indiana (Town) will hold a public hearing at 5:30 pm on May 9, 2022, at Winamac Municipal Utilities Complex located at 623 W. 11th Street (HWY 14W). The Town’s engineering consultant will present the recommended upgrades to the Town’s wastewater infrastructure, which will include the placement of new wastewater system infrastructure between the Tippecanoe River State Park (TRSP), Winamac Fish and Wildlife Area (WFWA), and Town of Winamac. The scope of the proposed project is to extend sanitary services from the Town of Winamac to the TRSP and WFWA areas, through a new force main piping network proposed to be placed mostly along U.S. 35. Additional proposed project elements include: the removal of existing septic tanks within the TRSP and WFWA, removal of existing wastewater treatment plant within the TRSP, grinder pump stations located throughout TRSP and WFWA, a new main lift station within TRSP, upgrades to the Town’s existing lift stations and other applicable elements as described in the PER. The project will be funded through a WWSRF loan.
