084-20 - Notice of Public Hearing Pulaski County Board of Commissioners

Notice of Public Hearing

Pulaski County Board of Commissioners

The Pulaski County (“County”) Board of Commissioners (“Board”), through the Pulaski County Community Development Commission (“CDC”), has submitted an application to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (“OCRA”) for a $250,000 Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) from OCRA’s COVID-19 Response Program. The purpose of the requested grant funds is for the County, through the CDC, to offer small-business–relief grants to qualifying businesses in Pulaski County. Program-beneficiary eligibility will be subject to CDBG requirements, including aggregate household-income metrics, and the application process to be developed by the CDC; a draft of the program guidelines will be available at http://www.advancepulaski.org/ and http://www.facebook.com/PCCDC.ED no later than 6:00 p.m. EDST on Friday, 22 May 2020. Said guidelines will be presented for approval by the Board and the CDC on 1 and 2 June, respectively.

Unless the County should in the interim learn that the application has been rejected, the Board, during their regularly scheduled meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, 1 June, will conduct a public hearing to receive feedback from the residents of Pulaski County regarding this proposed relief-grant program. In addition to being able to offer their comments at the meeting (either in person and/or via telephone or Facebook, depending on circumstances), the public will be afforded the opportunity to submit comments in writing prior to the hearing in care of CDC Executive Director Nathan P. Origer at nporiger@pulaskionline.org or P.O. Box 315, Winamac, Indiana 46996.
