Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received:

Until: 1:00 PM CDT (local time), April 22, 2021. Bids received after that time will be returned unopened.

Bid Opening: The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter.

All work for the project will be under one or more prime contracts with the Owner based on bids received and on combinations awarded. The Architect (Fanning Howey Associates, Inc.) and Project Designer (Alliance Environmental Group, Inc.) will manage the construction of the project.

This project will be bid under one (1) category of work as follows:

1. Asbestos Abatement 

Asbestos abatement shall be in full accordance with the bidding documents which will be provided to prospective bidders at the time of the pre-bid conference and inspection or via electronic mail following the pre-bid conference and inspection.

Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

The successful bidders will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of their contract amount prior to execution of contracts.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days before awarding contracts.

Bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference and Inspection with representatives of the Owner and Alliance Environmental Group present to discuss abatement sequence, continuous operation, security, Contractor’s work, storage areas and requirements for Contractor’s personnel working around the existing facility. A tour of the facilities will be held in conjunction with the pre-bid conference and inspection.

Site inspection and pre-bid conference will start at 3:00 PM CDT, April 14, 2021. Conference and tour will convene at the main entrance of North Judson-San Pierre Elementary School. Attendees should park on east side of the school and enter through the main entrance. 

The Owner and Project Designer will provide bidding documents, including addenda, to bidders for this project at the time of the pre-bid conference and inspection or via electronic media. The Owner and Project Designer shall not be held responsible for receipt of bidding documents sent via United States Postal Service or commercial delivery services. Shipping costs to be paid by Contractor.
