William Lee Reinholt

Feb. 19, 1948 — Nov. 6, 2015

William Lee Reinholt, 67, of Winamac, passed away at 8:04 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac.

He was born Feb. 19, 1948, in Winamac, to Thomas and Marguerite (Wolfram) Reinholt.

Bill was a telephone installation/lineman for the telephone company. He was the first installer to install telephone lines at the sheriff’s office.

He served in the military from 1968 to 1970 serving one year in the Vietnam War. He received a medal from the American Legion for saving two kids from drowning in the Tippecanoe River. He was an avid fisherman and could hold his poker face during a card game.

Survivors include his sisters: Jackie Armstrong of Winamac, Kay Nies of Winamac, and Marsha DuBois of Palmer, Arkansas; brothers: Donald Reinholt of South Bend, and Richard Reinholt of Bass Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas W. and Marguerite R. (Wolfram) Reinholt; and sister Patricia Green.

Visitation was 3-8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Frain Mortuary. Rev. Jarrel Hartle officiated. Burial took place in Winamac Cemetery, Winamac. The American Legion and VFW conducted military graveside service.
