Virgidelle R. Weasel

Virgidelle R. Weasel, 72, of Columbus, died at 11:40 p.m. Monday, April 6, at her home.

Born Sept. 17, 1942, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, Virgidelle was the daughter of Nicholas and Veronica (Schutz) Loehmer.

Virgidelle retired in 2011 from Columbus Regional Hospital where she had worked for 22 years. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and National Association of Health Unit Coordinators.

Survivors include her daughters: Sabrina Weasel of Nevada, and Angela [Russell] Emmitt of Columbus; brothers: Ralph [Ethel] Loehmer of Monterey, Raymond [Anne] Loehmer of Portage, Daniel Loehmer of Logansport, and Loren [Angela] Loehmer of Monterey; sisters: Virginia [George Lam] Mutt of San Diego, California, Vivian [David] Reinhold of Kewanna, Irene [Daniel] Forest of Monterey, and Loretta Watkins of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren: Logan and Thomas Emmitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Family and friends called from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 9, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home, 1029 Washington St., Columbus, with a rosary service conducted at 7 p.m. Family and friends also called from 4 to 7 p.m. April 10, at Odom Funeral Home, 104 East Lake Shore Dr., Culver. A Mass of Christian burial service was conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Catholic Church in Monterey. Father Burt Woolson officiated. Burial was at St. Anne Cemetery in Monterey.
