Violet L. Disinger Chamness
Violet Louise Disinger Chamness, 88, of Francesville, died Friday morning, Aug. 25, at the home of her daughter, Karen, in Ellettsville.
Violet was born on April 11, 1929, in Monon, the daughter of Charles and Elsie (Roby) Marchand. Violet was a loving homemaker, and in addition to caring for her children, she loved crocheting, quilting and sewing. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Bible Church in Francesville.
She is survived by her daughters: Betty [Don] Stotler of Ellettsville, Kay [Alan] Fritz of Winamac, Janet [Bob] Graham of Winamac and Karen Speicher of Ellettsville; son Larry [Diane] Disinger of Winamac; brother Gene [Rosie] Marchand of Pittsburg, Indiana; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Charles Disinger; second husband Arthur Chamness; son Rick Disinger; daughter-in-law Diana Disinger; grandsons: Brian Speicher and JimBob Graham; and one granddaughter Laura Fox.
Friends visited the family on Monday, Aug. 28, from noon until 1 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Bible Church. The funeral service was held on Monday, Aug. 28 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Bible Church in Francesville. Rev. Larry Fugett officiated. Burial followed in the Koster Cemetery in Francesville.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Pleasant Ridge Bible Church.
