Tom L. Goble

Dec. 14, 1936 — Oct. 7, 2019

Tom L. Goble, 82, of Pulaski, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at his home surrounded by family. 

Tom was born on Dec. 14, 1936, in Winamac, to the late Frank and Helen L. (Miller) Goble. On April 12, 1958, Tom married the late Patricia L. “Pat” Crist at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski. She passed away Sept. 30, 2017. 

Tom was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He served several years on the Eastern Pulaski Community School Board and also had served as Indian Creek Township Trustee. Tom was retired from Plymouth Tube. After retirement, he worked for PWRTC. 

Tom was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing league at Moss Creek. He loved the Tippecanoe River and all of the rivers he visited throughout the Midwest. He greatly enjoyed canoeing and canoe racing with his boys. He had many fond memories of camping on the river with his friends and family. Tom will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by sons: Richard “Rick” Goble of Lafayette, and Randall “Randy” [Billie] Goble of Pulaski; daughter Rochelle “Shelly” Goble of Pulaski; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sister Becky Tiede of Francesville; brother-in-law Bob Schultz of Francesville; sister-in-law Phyllis Goble Kruger of Francesville; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Helen L. (Miller) Goble; wife Patricia L. “Pat” Crist Goble; daughter Roberta Goble; sons: Robert “Bob” Goble, Ronald “Ronnie” Goble and Roger Goble; sisters: Phyllis [John] Rice and Peggy Schultz; brother Bob Goble; and brother-in-law Skip Tiede. 

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at St. Joseph Cemetery South in Pulaski. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery South in Pulaski.
