Timothy F. Hoffa Sr.

Timothy F. Hoffa Sr., 58, of Winamac, passed away at 11:49 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Porter Regional Hospital in Valparaiso.

He was born Dec. 11, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, to John and Alice (Jankowski) Hoffa.

Tim was married on July 30, 1983, in Wyandotte, Michigan, to Gloria Uszynski. She survives.

He was a former truck driver and worked for 18 years as a tool and die worker at Rochester Metals, Rochester. He was the former president of American Flint Glass Workers Local #607 in Rochester.

Survivors include his wife Gloria Uszynski Hoffa of Winamac; sons: Duane [Jenn] Hoffa of Westchester, Illinois, and Tim [Christi] Hoffa Jr. of Winamac; daughter Bethanne [Brad] Rude of Thornhope; eight grandchildren; brothers: John Gregory [Donna] Hoffa of Brown City, Michigan, Robert Hoffa of Capac, Michigan; Christopher [Penny] Hoffa of Winamac, and Stephen [Ann] Hoffa of Lapeer, Michigan; sisters: Linda Poirier of Capac, Michigan, Brenda [George] Moustakas of Clinton Twp., Michigan, and Kathy Scott of Las Vegas, Nevada; stepmother Helen Hoffa of Las Vegas, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Alice (Jankowski) Hoffa; first wife Elizabeth Hoffa; son Gregory Hoffa; and brothers: James Hoffa and Kenneth Hoffa.

Visitation was 3-8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Frain Mortuary. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, at Frain Mortuary, Winamac. Pastor Rick Abbott officiated. Burial took place in Star City West Cemetery, Star City.
