Thomas M. “Tom” Crider

Thomas M. “Tom” Crider, 58, of Winamac, passed away at 4 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac after a short battle with cancer. 

Tom was born on Aug. 10, 1960, in Winamac, to the late Robert and Helen (Scott) Crider. He graduated from Winamac High School in 1979. Tom was a lifelong welder and had worked at Dragon Products in Akron for 15 years.

Tom was an avid Notre Dame football fan. He was a talented guitarist. He was a hard worker and was always helping others. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his sisters: Carol [Jim] Shidler of Winamac, Karen [Gary] Graves of Winamac, Brenda [Randy] Baker of Winamac, and Linda [Mario] Lopez of Indianapolis; brothers: Bob Crider of Logansport, Steve Crider of Winamac, Bill [Debra Richie] Crider of Star City, Mike Crider of Winamac, and Sam Crider of Winamac; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Helen (Scott) Crider; brother Joe Crider; and nephew Jeff Shidler. 

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Burial will take place at Reed Cemetery in Winamac. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association or to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America.
