Tamera D. “Tammy” Tirey

Tamera D. “Tammy” Tirey, 57, of Winamac, passed away at home on Sunday, Sept. 1, after a brief illness. 

Tammy was born on Aug. 9, 1962, in Knox, to the late Francis J. and Betty J. (Isler) Roe. On Feb. 14, 1998, she married Dallis Tirey in Winamac.

Tammy was a proud wife and mother and worked at Eaton’s for 18 years. She enjoyed knitting, painting, crafting, gardening and cooking. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. 

She is survived by her husband Dallis J. Tirey of Winamac; son Thomas A. [Amy Malwin] Miller of Winamac; daughter Jessica L. [Freddy Washington] Miller of Winamac; stepson Robbie W. [Jenny] Tirey of Winamac; stepdaughter Alicia D. Lloyd; grandsons: Kameron Miller, Caleb Tirey and Carter Pena; granddaughter Alexis Lloyd; brothers: James R. Isler and Kevin F. [Connie] Roe; sisters: Diane L. [John] Kennedy, Debra J. [Ramon] Rodriguez, Kimberly J. [Vance Allseitz] Roe and Danette M. Button; sister-in-law Delia Roe; brother-in-law Richard Creasy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Francis J. and Betty J. (Isler) Roe; infant sister Linda L. Roe; brother Thomas L. Roe; brother-in-law Vince Button; and sister-in-law Brenda Creasy. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, and one hour prior to services at the funeral home Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac, with Pastor Heath Hiatt officiating. Burial will take place at Winamac Cemetery in Winamac.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
