Tab R. Van Meter

Tab R. Van Meter, 60, of Rochester, passed away Friday, Jan. 26.

Tab was born in Rochester on Dec. 24, 1957,  to Walter and  Naomi M. Sutton Van Meter.

Tab will be lovingly remembered by his wife Teresa; daughter Haley A. [Andy] Stepp of Winamac; sons: Kyle R. [Jane] Van Meter of Rochester, and Adam D. [Brittnie] Van Meter of Culver; two blended children: Amanda Baldwin of Logansport, and Logan [Jessica] Beatty of Rochester; grandchildren: Sam and Zoey Stepp, Talia Valdez, Julianna Florez, and the Beatty kids: Emma, Riley, Ciara, Hunter and Hayden; sister Peggy Van Meter of Rochester; brothers:  Dean [Donna] Van Meter of  Kewanna, and Dudley [Sharon] Van Meter of Plymouth; and his treasured miniature donkeys Elvis and Donkey.

Preceding Tab in death are his parents Walter and Naomi; and a brother Larry Van Meter. 

Friends visited with the family from 2-7 p.m. on  Wednesday,  Jan. 31. A celebration of the life for Tab was at noon  on Thursday, Feb. 1, in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester. Pastor Robert Metzger officiated. He was laid to eternal rest on the family plot at the Leiters Ford IOOF Cemetery.  

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.
