Susie J. Parker

Susie J. Parker, 77, of Tell City, passed away on Dec. 24 at 11:20 a.m. in Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne. 

She was born on July 13, 1941, in Monterey, to Donald and Irma (Hay) Chapman. On Aug. 31, 1959, in Monterey she was united in marriage to Larry Dean Parker, who preceded her in death.

A Tell City resident for 45 years, she worked at Coast to Coast Hardware as a clerk. She was a graduate of Monterey School System in the class of 1959. She was a member of the F.O.P. in Jasper.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Jan Miller of Warsaw; brothers-in-law: Jerry [Pat] Parker of Surprise, Arizona, and Robert [Glenda] Parker of Fenton, Michigan; father-in-law Orval Coby of Leesburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and son Larry Dean “Punky” Parker II.

A visitation was held on Saturday, Dec. 29, from 10 a.m. until noon in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw. A graveside service was held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 1:30 p.m. in Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Monterey. Pastor Jeff Seger officiated.
