Steven Lowell “Steve” Reinhold

Steven Lowell “Steve” Reinhold, 72, of Monterey, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 21. Steve was born on Aug. 15, 1946, in Monterey to Lowell L. and Susie V. (Calhoun) Reinhold. He graduated from Monterey High School in 1964. On Dec. 24, 2008, Steve married Sharron A. Keller in Winamac.

Steve worked for Dean Milk Co. in Rochester, and retired in 2009 after 44 years of service. He was a member of the United Steelworkers Union. Steve was a member of the Monterey United Methodist Church where he had served as trustee for many years caring for the church. He was a member of the Monterey Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years. Steve also served several years on the Pulaski County Election Board in Monterey.

Steve was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed playing baseball, fast pitch softball, helping his father on the farm, hunting deer and mushrooms, yard work and raising pretty flowers. Steve really enjoyed the winters he got to spend with his wife, Sharron, in Avon Park, Florida, and playing cards with friends.

Steve was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his wife Sharron A. Keller Reinhold of Monterey; son Stan S. [Bobbi] Reinhold of Plymouth; grandson Cole S. Reinhold of Plymouth; granddaughter Lyndi M. Reinhold of Plymouth; father Lowell L. Reinhold of Winamac; sisters: Becky [Jon Hall] Pugh of Auburndale, Florida, and Brenda [Jim] Loehmer of Pulaski; brother-in-law Tom Rees of Kokomo; nieces: Terri [Jeff] Brown of Kokomo, Jamye [Gene] Baker of Largo, Florida, Sara [Eric] Marxmiller of San Francisco, California, and Amber [Taylor Simpson] Seidel of Culver; nephews: Jeff [Amy] Pugh of Culver, Josh [Suzanne] Pugh of Culver, and Travis [Ashley] Seidel of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; uncles: Hugh Reinhold of Goshen, Byron [Nancy] Reinhold of Elkhart, and Dave [Vivian] Reinhold of Kewanna; aunts: Esther Reinhold of Monterey, Judy [Howard] Carlisle of Argos, and Carol Kelsey of Monterey; and many cousins. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Susie V. (Calhoun) Reinhold; sister Joyce E. Rees; aunts: Katherine [Warren] Corbett, Elsie [Jim] Tuley and Marie Reinhold; and uncle Valentine Reinhold Jr.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at Frain Mortuary in Winamac. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Emily Gearhart officiating. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac, with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating.
